Privacy Policy
Security on the Internet is a shared responsibility.
Prudent security safeguards and controls must be practiced on both sides of any transaction.
Our Responsibilities
YOUR PRIVACYWe respect your privacy. We do not sell, rent, or lend any information regarding our customers to any third party. Any information you give us is held with the utmost care, anonymity and security, and will not be used in ways to which you have not consented. We will not collect any personal information about individuals except when specifically and knowingly provided. Examples of such information include name, postal address, e-mail address, phone number and purchase history.
The S.L.A.A. Online Store requires the acceptance of a "cookie" when you add items to your cart and/or place an order. A cookie is a small text file sent to your computer in order to remember items in your cart, retain your logged-in status as you browse the store, and process your transaction. You can choose to have your computer warn you each time a cookie is being sent, or cookies can be deleted after you complete your transaction. You can choose to turn off all cookies via your browser settings, and you can still view the store, however you will not be able to log in, place items in your cart, or complete checkout. See your browser's help file for instructions. Should you not wish to accept cookies, you can still place orders over the phone or by mail using the S.L.A.A. Print Catalog [pdf].
Please Note: All purchases will be identified as "AUGUSTINE FELLO" on your credit card statement.
USE OF INFORMATION
We are required for IRS tax purposes to retain financial records at the F.W.S. Office for a period of seven (7) years. These records contain purchase and shipping history and include customer details provided by you such as name, postal address, e-mail address, and phone number. This information is available only to senior Office staff and is stored in both electronic and paper format in a secure location.
SECURE SHOPPING
Credit/debit card orders placed on our site are encrypted using proven 256 bit SSL technology; the same security used by banks and major retailers on the web. With SSL implemented on both the client (your browser) and server (our web site), information sent via the Internet can be trusted to arrive privately and unaltered to our server. In order for SSL security to work, you must use an SSL-enabled browser. Your browser will show obvious indicators that SSL has been enabled. One indicator is that the URL display line will change from HTTP to HTTPS. Other indicators, such as icons and changes in colors, may also be displayed on your client.
CREDIT CARD SECURITY MEASURES
We do not store any credit card numbers on the Online Store. When you complete checkout, your card information is sent electronically to our secure credit card gateway (Chase Paymentech). Your card number is seen by F.W.S. Office staff as ************1234. This means that if we need to re-process your card due to a change in your order, we may need to contact you by phone.
Telephone, fax, and mail orders where credit card numbers are hand-written are stored in paper form in a secure location.
We use both AVS (Address Verification System) and CVV2 (the 3-digit number on the back of your card) to verify credit card ownership. This means that both the CVV2 number and the billing address associated with your card must be accurate or your transaction will not succeed.
CHANGES TO YOUR INFORMATION
You can change the information on your account at any time by logging in to the store and clicking the "Account" link on the top left of the page.
Your Responsibilities
Do not share your credit card information with anyone you do not implicitly trust.
If you store your credit card information on your PC, laptop or Cell Phone, work with your service provider on a means of remotely clearing your personal information if the device is lost or stolen. Use a firewall and virus scanner to protect any information stored on your PC or laptop and keep that software up-to-date.
Use a browser (such as MS Internet Explorer Version 8 or Mozilla Firefox Version 3.5 or better) that implements HTTPS and SSL. Make sure your browser is updated with the latest fixes from your manufacturer or service provider.
